Clouds of Xeen is the fourth part of the venerable Might and Magic series which itself is one of the three big old franchises of computer roleplaying. Might and Magic IV was released in 1992 on the PC and should be converted for the Amiga, but wasn't. Although the Amiga version was advertised in 1992, it was never released. In 1994, the game was re-released as part of World of Xeen for the Mac. The fourth game of the series used the proven engine of Might and Magic III and built a new huge quest around it. Some say this new quest was far too easy, some criticize the overall *nothing new* feeling of the game over its predecessor. Clouds of Xeen could be merged with its own sequel Darkside of Xeen to build the World of Xeen which offered additional quests and battles for experienced parties.
