Clans in Neocron are player made and run groups. Some will have pre-requisits for joining such as belonging to a certain faction or having a certain belief. Others will be role-played organisations such as city agencies or wasteland gangs.
Either way, most people end up joining clans as because, aside from making friends and being helped with equipment, there's always someone covering your back.
