Herefordshire is a county in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Formerly, it was part of 'Hereford and Worcestershire', but that county was split in 1998. The western part (comprising Leominster District, South Herefordshire District, Hereford City, and part of the old Malvern Hills District) is now under the control of Herefordshire Council Unitary Authority.
