The Zone is a laser-tag style game played in an indoor, fog-filled, multi-level arena with ramps, obstacles, catwalks and up to twenty nine other players. The game is played with a lightweight vest that contains, amongst other things, a red and IR laser and various sensors. By firing your laser at another vest you score points and briefly disable your opponent's laser.
The arenas are composed of multiple levels, ramps and structures that can be used like fortified positions. They include a base for each of the three teams, Sentinel towers, sniper posts, mines, and mazes where an opponent could appear at any time.
